Social Classes
There were many different classes in ancient Rome but the ranking of the citizens was simple. There were very few upper class people and the lower class citizens were separated into citizens and slaves. The wealthiest citizens made up the Senate the other less wealthy citizens worked in administrative positions or the army. Then there was the business class people and finally the poor people who did the worst jobs or nothing at all.
